The Significance of Tarot Cards

Tarot Cards first appeared in Europe during the 15th century. It was just another form of card game. They eventually started selling it to Italy to sell to the wealthiest families. Since the 1909 the cards had been redesigned and have stayed with some of its famous publishers, including William Rider and A.E. Waite. But the most up to date reprint was done in the 1970s with designer Rider-Waite Deck.



Through the empress, chariot and Judgment, Tarot cards have a significance meaning. Blended with ancient symbols, religious, and historical events. There was even a connection through Tarot Mythology that the tarot cards originated from the legendary book of Thoth and had belonged to the Egyptian God of Wisdom.
